タクシー産業に決定的な影響を与える「自動運転電気自動車」は、たぶん外国で生まれそうな気がします。日本人技術者が難しく難しく考えているところを、ある割り切りでブレークスルーするのではないかと。たとえば最高時速は20キロでいいじゃないかとか、走れる道は当面は全道路の10％もあればいいではないかとか、そういう世界の中でまず実用化していくような気がします。

　私の予想では、この新技術に対して道路交通法だ事故補償だヘチマだと日本が時間を浪費しコストばかり高くしているうちに、あちらは試行錯誤しながらどんどん先に行き、ついには日本は最大のビジネスチャンスを失うような気がします。これまでこの繰り返しでしたから。情報技術はいいようにやられました。
